Cookies and local storage used by TrainEnRoute.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. TrainEnRoute uses them for language, appearance, administrator sessions and your cookie choice. Google Analytics uses them only if you accept it. Preferences stored separately in local storage are described below.
Technical cookies (necessary)
TrainEnRoute uses cookies for the selected language, theme and administrator login. These support the features you request; the login cookie is used only for the administration area.
Analytics cookies
Google Analytics 4, from Google LLC in the United States, counts visits, pages viewed and clicks, including clicks on links to book tickets. It is loaded only after you accept it in the cookie banner; before that, nothing is sent to Google. Google signals and ad personalization are turned off.
Functionality cookies
Local storage remembers favourites, recent searches, theme and notification settings, and a local visit counter. Requested location data is reused from your device for up to one hour. The saved coordinates remain there until they are replaced by a new location or you clear the site data. The browser cache also keeps recently loaded train information, map images and site files. Clearing site data removes all of this.

How to manage cookies
You can accept or reject Google Analytics at any time with the button below or “Manage cookies” at the bottom of every page. Rejecting it deletes its cookies. Your browser's site settings also let you review or remove cookies and local storage.
